The Forum library in Norwich is at the heart of the community, offering art, events and dining for locals and visitors alike. Here’s our guide to the events at the Forum this Autumn that we think you’ll love.

Natural World Art Society Exhibition

The most recent event in our guide, this runs from the 1st of October to the 5th. This will be a glorious exhibition, showcasing paintings, sculptures and more, all inspired by the natural world. The natural world art society has some serious credentials, having been based at the local Banham zoo for 20 years – raising over £60,000 for ZSEA conservation projects. Expect to see beautiful artwork of exotic animals.

The Science Festival

The Forum will be the Hub for the Science festival as it returns this year. From the 17th to the 24th of September, there will be engaging events all about science hosted all over the city, with plenty of events for everyone from schoolkids to pub regulars. The main attraction this year is the quickly sold out talk from famous Gorilla scientist Jane Goodall, but be sure to check out the full programme online.

Norwich Film Festival

Another brilliant festival celebrating artistic talent, the Norwich film festival showcases short films on a variety of subjects, from animation to live action. This year it will be held from the 6th to the 17th of November.

There are also screenings of feature films, workshops and Q and A’s – including a stop motion workshop put on in collaboration with NUA.

The films shown here are all of BAFTA qualifying standards, so get down and grab some popcorn and you could watch the next big director’s first step on the silver screen.

Festive Fair

So, it’s not quite autumn, but this fun packed fair will let you get your goodies and gifts well before the Christmas rush in!

Taking place from the 22nd to the 25th of November, there’s sure to be something for everyone here. Local crafts, scrummy Christmas food and drink, and live music will all make this a cosy festive scene.
