It is hard to believe that the Forum was built less than twenty years ago to mark the millennium and today is classed as one of the most iconic features of Norwich.

Sitting in the heart of the city it draws in 5,000 visitors a day, and over 35,000 people will walk through the doors every single week.

So what do you need to know about Norwich Forum?

Library

The Forum is home to one of the busiest and most popular libraries in the country. There are many facilities on offer and a number of free learning events are put on for all ages and abilities. It is more than your standard library with many frequenting  it every single day to use the modern facilities for work and pleasure.

Forum Exhibitions

As soon as you walk up, the architecture of the Forum will blow you away with its floor to ceiling glass windows. As you enter through the revolving door the sheer size of the atrium will leave you breathless.

This makes it the perfect space for showcasing exhibits, which are put on here every single year, tending to be focused around local themes. Many are free, you can walk in and be instantly immersed into something new.

Café

On site you can refuel at the downstairs Marzana café or if you are feeling peckish you can go upstairs to Pizza Express whilst looking out over the stunning balcony below.

Shop

The Forum is home to the Norwich Tourist Information Centre should you require it, and also has a shop run by Jarrolds which stocks some fabulous Norfolk and local gifts and the charity MINT can also be located downstairs too.

BBC EAST

The Forum is also home to BBC East and BBC Norfolk HQ’s which means there is always a bustle of radio news room excitement upstairs behind those glass doors!

Venue Hire

What you may not know is that you are able to hire the venue space whether it be outside, the atrium or downstairs in the auditorium. Many are unaware that there is an auditorium below, which welcomes a number of diverse performances and events.

With so much on offer behind that grand exterior it isn’t hard to see why the Forum Norwich has earned its title as one the of gems in Norwich’s crown.
