Norwich is certainly known for its shopping opportunities, from the infamous Norwich Market, The Royal Arcade, even Intu Chapelfield. Today we’re looking at one of the most prominent – and a place particularly deserving of consideration  – the Castle Quarter! You really are spoilt for choice when it comes to shopping in Norwich.

Here are 10 quick tips for a visit to the Castle Quarter.

Bowling

New, fresh, perfect for a family trip – Superbowl has recently opened in the Castle Quarter! You’ll also be able to find a children’s play area, as well as an amusement area. For our first tip – this is definitely something to experience when out for the day!

Arcade

How long has it been since you ventured into a true retro arcade? When visiting the Castle Quarter, you’ll find Retro Replay on two floors, chock full of arcade machines (fancy a bit of nostalgia?) ready to play.

Events

Our third quick tip for a visit is this – before you go, double check online or via FB to see if there are any events on. There are often numerous visits, kids events and workshops put on and many are free to attend.

Leave the Car!

There is of course ample parking at the Castle Quarter, but there is also a great park and ride, bus routes and train station all in walking distance, so do your bit for the environment and leave the car!

Shop until you drop

With New Look, TK Maxx, The Entertainer as well, as a number of independent shops, you really can shop until you drop. A quick tip before you go? Don’t forget the credit card and shopping bags!

Coffee Break

After all that shopping you are going to want a coffee break, so our next tip is to make sure you have a well deserved coffee break scheduled in one of the numerous places you can grab one.

Architecture

Another quick tip for a visit is to look at the stunning architecture, from the unique and modern entrance, to the stunning dome glass ceilings it really is more than a shopping mall.

Grab a bite for lunch

Even if you don’t want to have a look round the shops, the Castle Quarter is a great place to grab some lunch with Burger King, Cocina and Chopstix all located there.

Competition

Keep your eyes peeled for any on the day competitions that may be running. They may even have props on site (like a giant deckchair waiting for you to take a selfie in, just don’t forget to tag the Castle Quarter on social media!).
